Devour at the Dyehouse

Nestled in the picturesque and historic Holme Valley, a stone’s throw away from the cobbled streets of Holmfirth. Flanked between ancient woodland and the gentle ebb and flow of the river Holme…. lies DEVOUR.  

At DEVOUR it’s simple, we celebrate “Old School Italia!” with home-cooked food, Music, Family and Friends where we Sip, Share, Taste and Feast. Family is our passion; Italian food is our obsession.

We create regionally seasonal dishes using simple fresh hero ingredients. Inspired by heritage, shaped by tradition, and LOVED by the family. What we don’t make ourselves (which isn’t much) we source locally and beyond from our friends - passionate artisan producers who share our love of great food, great company and good times!

Seasons change but our passion remains.

Our evolving menu offers exciting Cicchetti (small plates to share!), fresh handmade pastas with slow roasted sugos and mellow melting charcuterie. Homemade freshly churned gelato (it’s all in the science!) and the best fired “pizza slice!” this side of Naples. Enjoy in our Eatery, at the Deli Counter or on your knee in the bar. So, whether it’s a chilled out Devour Blend Coffee & Pasticcini, a Dinner Date & Cocktails, Dad’s Saturday Lunch or a laid-back Family Sunday Feast – pull up a chair, kick your shoes off, watch the river Holme flow by, and…. DEVOUR.

New opening times for our Deli & coffee mornings

our deli is open from 9am Wednesday - Sunday. Pickup some fresh handmade bread, some cured meats & cheeses from our salumeria or some fresh handmade pasta.

Our Deli will also be serving freshly brewed la de da Coffee in collab with Darkwoods, tea & pastries.

When you consider that the UK has lost around 98% of its wildflower

meadows, it highlights how rare these stunning habitats are.

We are really excited to have our wildflower river walk in full bloom, come & see it while the flowers are at their best.

NOTES - ONE17 Design

When ONE17 was first approached to look at a run down industrial building near the 'Summer Wine' town of Holmfirth, with a view to converting it into a foodie haven, restaurateur Olivia Robinson was already many months into its planning.

Now that the project is officially open, we put a few questions to her.

Artwork love

It was so lovely to have the array of talented artists at Devour last week for Holmfirth Artweek, I hear they sold lots of work & raised money for Macmillan, thanks to all the artists for such a great installation. 

An exhibition of Colour & Form showcasing: metalwork sculptures sited on a bespoke sculpture walkway alongside the River Holme; small scale sculpture exhibition inside DEVOUR restaurant; plus two rooms playfully exploring themes of colour, movement and shape through figurative paper forms, abstract art and contemporary ceramics, set in a disused wood mill adjacent to DEVOUR.
