Tim Pavitt

Tim is an acoustic guitarist, Born in London, he was influenced in the 1960s and 70s by singer/songwriters Michael Chapman and John Martyn, whom he often watched perform at Les Cousins in Soho.

Work took him overseas during the 80s and 90s, leaving little time for music, so he sadly didn’t pick up a guitar for several years.

Upon returning to the UK, first in Cumbria, then in SW Scotland, and now in West Yorkshire, he discovered the original American fingerpickers—Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, and Buster B. Jones—who have become his main source of inspiration in the 21st century.
