Victoria Robinson
We are told stories about ourselves, our behaviours and our lives.
We tell ourselves stories about ourselves and our behaviours and our lives.
In what way do these narratives affect the way we see ourselves and the experiences and relationships we have?
Using the teachings of psychotherapist Eric Berne and the development of his work into Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, Victoria Robinson’s installation examinations the obvious and the less obvious storylines that thread through our lives shaping how we see ourselves, how we behave and respond.
Repurposing elements of a past career Victoria’s installation asks “can we change our own stories and put down our own emotional baggage?”
Victoria Robinson is an artist and massage therapist based in Holmfirth. She uses TA. communication principles in her therapeutic work and in this installation brings this work visually into focus using fabric, thread, text and sound.
