Speak Easy Thursdays – best for live music
Held in our bar each Thursday evening, our Speakeasy sessions offer you the chance to hear from some of the UK’s best undiscovered musical talent, while enjoying your favourite autumnal tipple.
Each week an entirely new performer will take to the stage to provide the soundtrack to your evening. Confirmed acts so far include Genevieve Joy, who’ll be easing you into the weekend with her acoustic guitar and soulful vocals. She’ll be followed a week later by London-born Tim Pavitt whose musical influences hail from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
No bookings are needed to attend, so simply pop along at your leisure. The music will begin at 06:30pm and we’ll be serving our usual bar snacks, grazing boards, and full restaurant menu throughout the evening, if all that singing and toe-tapping leaves you feeling peckish.

Pizza and pasta making workshops – best for broadening your culinary skills
In these monthly evening workshops Chef Carl will teach you the art of mixing, kneading, and rolling the perfect dough to create pizza and pasta just like the Italians do it. Designed for all experience levels, and limited to groups of 8-12 attendees, these intimate workshops are a great way to get to know other Holmfirth locals whilst mastering a new skill.
We’ll kick things off with a welcome drink before getting into the practical demonstration. At the end of the evening, you’ll be able to sit down and share in a pasta supper with your classmates, as well as take home your own creations to indulge in later. Prices start from £55, which includes your welcome drink, all materials and ingredients, and a delicious meal prepared by our head chef.
